Course Description

This course is the basic introductory course in the concepts of assessing the viability of farm production plans, with emphasis on the concepts of costing and agricultural accounting. The course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts of production factors and costing of farming plans, while contributing to the understanding of techno-economic studies. The accounting monitoring of agricultural activities is also analysed, so that the student has a comprehensive understanding of the procedures and methodologies of the formation and updating of the accounting books of a business. In this sense the course is the basis on which specific methodologies and techniques of analysis of economic indicators of projects in the assessment of economic efficiency and economic interest of agricultural activities. The aim of the course is to enable students to understand the importance of project management in the modern economy and the evolution of project costing and project accounting into a distinct discipline/profession.
